Online Courses and Workshops
Your partner for professional
development in teaching.
Between classes, faculty meetings, committee meetings, and research deadlines, it was impossible to pick a day that worked for everyone. I would often try to offer the same workshop 2-3 times during the semester to give everyone the opportunity to participate.
This was time consuming, costly, and not as effective as I wanted it to be, especially if I invited a guest speaker who I could only afford to bring to campus one time.
When I started my own business, I knew I wanted to create an easier way to provide online courses, workshops, and programs for leaders who oversee professional development on their campuses.
I'm excited to launch my new Professional Development Partnership program to help teaching and learning centers, faculty development offices, departments, colleges, and universities offer more flexible, on-demand courses and programs for professors, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students.
My goal is to make it easy for you to integrate these online courses into your college or university's professional development programs so you can serve the campus community more effectively.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How much does each course cost?
The campus package ranges from $2500 - $4500 per course and includes 1-year access for an unlimited number of participants from your institution. All faculty, staff, graduate students and postdocs get unlimited access to the course.
Since the course will be available to everyone on your campus, you can team up with other departments or programs and combine funds to co-sponsor the course.
And, if you want to enroll in courses on your own (and not as part of a campus or group), you can sign up for any course for $99 and you get lifetime access to the course material.
2. How long does it take to complete each course?
It varies based on the course, but most courses take between 45 minutes - 2 hours. The FLIP It course is longer and takes about 5 hours.
3. How can I use these courses on my campus?
You can integrate the course into your lunch and learns, department retreats, learning communities, summer institutes, or certificate/badge programs. Or you can just add it your list of programs for the year and let participants take it whenever they want to. It's up to you!
