Thank you for considering me as a speaker for your event! I enjoy working with college professors, postdocs, and graduate students who want to learn more about how to teach effectively, engage students, and improve learning!

Let's get started!

Contact me and tell me a little about your goals and your event. Then, we'll schedule quick call so I can learn more about your goals for the program, the participants, and the logistics.

After we discuss your event, I will create a proposal for you which will include the program details, learning outcomes, deliverables, and costs.

Workshop Topics:

  • Time Saving Teaching Techniques for Busy Professors

  • Easy and Effective Active Learning Strategies You Can Use in Any Course to Engage Students and Improve Learning

  • Tips for Designing and Facilitating In-Person Active Learning Experiences in the College Classroom

  • The Faculty Job Interview: Preparing for Your Teaching Demonstration

  • Create Your Teaching Portfolio in 5 Steps

  • Introduction to College Teaching

  • FLIP It: A New Way to Think about Flipped Course Design

I create online and blended workshops and programs for faculty, postdocs, and graduate students that include self-paced lessons and live Q&A. Custom programs include:

  • I will design an online program specifically based on the needs, challenges, and goals of your participants.

  • Your participants will get access to a custom website and registration page to make it easy to enroll and participate.

  • I'll take care of administrative details for you! I'll create welcome emails, marketing flyers, reminder emails, and collect participation data.

  • Your participants get access to a private discussion forum just for them. I am very active in the forums and I provide feedback on all discussion posts.

  • You can add custom features such as live Q&A sessions, assignments, a private shared Google docs space, a private podcast feed, and online certificates to your program at no additional cost.

Here are a few examples of custom online professional development programs I created for campuses:
